Don Porco Named Agent of the Year

Don Porco has been named the 2011 Rocky Mountain Farmer’s Union Agent of the Year. Don has been with FUSA Insurance Agency for over 32 years and is a life-long resident of Salida.  “When I was first hired, I was told that I would never regret working for FUSA Insurance, and I never have,” Don stated.  One of Don’s favorite aspects of working for FUSA is that he gets to work with the “everyday person” in the community. “This job allows me to work with everyone ranging from farmers and ranchers to doctors and lawyers, and I enjoy seeing everyone and helping them out.”
When he’s not at work, Don is also known for his success as a rodeo team roper, and has even written the book, How to Produce a Team Roping.  Don has been married to his wife Julie for the past 13 years, and they live on the family ranch. He also has two daughters, Donna, who lives in Denver; and Christy, who lives in Alamosa.
Don would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the years in receiving this special honor.  He would also like to recognize his Customer Service Representatives, Deedee Trenary, who is also a life-long resident of Salida, and his wife, Julie.
